WeatherBlocker™ Premium Starter Strips Installation — Step-by-step

Step 1

Separate the strips into half pieces at the perforated line.
Step 2

Place at the eaves and rakes, leaving a .25” to .75” overhang, sealant facing up, at the edge.
Step 3

Nail about 1.5” - 3” above the starter strip’s edge and put 4 nails into the strip at about 1.5”, 13.5”, 25.5” and 37.5” across the strip.
Step 4

Install half pieces vertically up the rake. Overlap the eave edge starter strip at least 3” with the sealant nearest the edge.
Half Strip

For shingles with an exposure less than 6” use a half 8.5” strip by tearing on the perforation line.
Full Strip

For shingles with an exposure of 6” or greater use a full 17” strip. Do not separate the strips.
